  • The Button

Screws onto the existing plate mounting point on your bumper. Low enough in profile that the plate still sits flush.

  • The Quick Release Plate

Stick the quick release plate on the back of your number plate, The keyhole slot is a wide opening to drop over the button, narrow channel to capture it.

  • The Lock

Drop the plate on, push down, and the button seats into the narrow end of the keyhole. Tested over 4000 miles with no release.

No Magnets?

If you're a speedy boy, you'll know that magnet plates can fall off at speed, sometimes even at 60pmh in wet & windy weather. Air gets in between the plate and the bumper and can force the plate of the car, our plate locks your plate and you need upward force to unlock the plate.

KLIQ vs magnetic plates

Magnets hold your plate on by force. We lock it on. That's the whole difference.

I love showing people are car meets 😂 the reactions are the best when it clicks into place. People have had a tug on it and shocked how strong they stay on!

Ordered one kit to test, ordered another for my other car. Super happy with the design, I've had magnet plates before and they just fall off

Questions, answered

Is it legal?

Yes. Nothing in the number plate regulations bans quick-release mounts — your plate just needs to be displayed, secure and legible, which a fitted Kliq is. Keep the plate on whenever you're on a public road.

Will it hold on the motorway?

Yes. The plate is mechanically captured on the button, not held by friction or magnetism, so airflow and vibration can't peel it off. Tested to over 4,000 miles.

Is it car wash safe?

Yes, once the adhesive has cured for 24 hours. Brushes push the plate against the bumper rather than lifting it — the direction the lock is strongest in.

Will it damage my bumper?

No. The button uses your existing plate mounting point, and the release bonds to the plate rather than the car. It removes cleanly with heat and adhesive remover.

Will the screws fit my car?

The screws included are standard UK number plate screws, which fit most cars. A few use a different size or fitting, so it's worth checking with your vehicle manufacturer — or the screws already holding your current plate on — that they'll fit.

Does it fit 4D & 3D gel plates?

Both, yes. The release bonds to the flat back of the plate, so whatever's on the front makes no difference. Heavier 4D plates are exactly where a mechanical lock beats a magnet.
